Julia Fiona Roberts, born 28th October 1967 at Atlanta to Betty Lou Bredemus & Walter Grady Roberts. She belongs to four generations of the Robertses that live in the Atlanta area beginning with her great-grandfather John Pendleton Roberts a farmer. Her father was a theatre enthusiast from a very young time. He acted on at the Emory University campus in 1952 and also in a variety of productions that were staged around Atlanta. While stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi, he was inducted into the Air Force in 1953. Betty Lou Bredemus was in that production as well. Eric Anthony was their first born. They got married in the year 1957. Walter went to Tulane University New Orleans Louisiana after he left the Airforce in the year 1957. Walter joined Atlanta Academy Theater and Harrington Scenic and Lighting Studio after they moved their family from Atlanta to Decatur, Georgia in 1960. Walter and Betty Lou began producing a children's television program in the city of Decatur, Georgia titled Bum Bum and His Buddies. They funded the show themselves. In 1964 Betty Lou and Walter founded their own organization called the Actors and Writers Workshop. It ran for six years. They welcomed in 1965 two new children: Lelisa Billingsley and Julia Billingsley.
