Julia Ormond

JuliaOrmond was born in Epsom (Surrey) as the daughter Josephine, who is an engineer and John Ormond. Ormond is the second child of five kids born to her parents. In the beginning, she was a student at Guildford High School and then Cranleigh School. There, her initial lead performances in Guys and Dolls and My Fair Lady were noticed. After a single year of arts college, she was enrolled to Webber-Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art. Her graduation was in 1988. Ormond first made an appearance on British television in the 1989 serial Traffik which focused on the illegal heroin trade that flows from the far East to the streets of Europe. Ormond was the heroin addicted daughter of the main character, a Home Office minister who was involved in battling heroin imports. It was the first time Ormond had a role and received glowing reviews.
